I have a Buckmaster 184 that I bought about nine years ago when I knew even less than I know now about knives. I see that hollow handle knives are not well thought of and just wondered how this knife has stood the test of time.

I finally gave mine to a friend who kept drooling over it. I liked the looks, but the knife was a bear to sharpen, rusted in the sheath, and way too heavy for my tastes.

while I am a Buck fan and own many, the Buckmaster was a complete flop. That's why the military gave up on it so fast.
