Trademark dates back to 1951. Eventually became True Value hardware stores.

how do you do it, Steve? you come up with pictures for each and every thread, no matter how out there or obscure!

I see if I can come up with something in under 5 minutes. It's all in the search terms. In this case, I guessed it was a hardware store so my first search on google was for:

"V&S" hardware

(The quotation marks can be important). The fifth result had a photo of the sign with the company name. That gave me the search terms for my second search:

"Value and Service" hardware stores

This didn't give the company information I was looking for, so my third and last search was for:

"Value and Service" hardware stores trademark

The first result gave the company history.
Elapsed time probably 2 or 3 minutes.

Other searches sometimes require the use of google images, google books, and google news archives (usually with the timeframe specified).

(You did ask me how I did it ;) )

ah, so you're a plant. put here by Google Inter-Universal Education and Promotions.

j/k, of course. you obviously are trained in research on some level. I really am impressed with some of the results you've posted here. It's like you have a secret axe library network, sometimes.

Dang Steve!! Color me impressed,

Does anyone have any experience with them to know if they are good quality or not?

Bill
