Info/help on Case Sod Buster Jr

I recently acquired this Case Sod Buster Jr. from the estate of a deceased friend (along with a lot of other knives). I am trying to determine if it's been customized (or possibly a special edition), and what it may be worth - with the intention to sell. Date code indicates 1981 and other side of the blade is stamped 2137 SS. It has abalone scales and what I believe to be ivory micarta bolsters. The back spring is polished and has file work, as does the blade. The liners look like anodized titanium with the color going from the bluish purple on the rear to bronze on the front (see third picture). Any help would be appreciated.

I'm only guessing here but that looks customized to me. Are there any initials on the knife or perhaps a signature? Anything like that in the well where the blade rests when closed?
