been thinking about trying electric cigs or cigars, anyone tried the things? any good places to buy the things? all info appreciated,

Like to find out abought them to been checking them out online but dont know anyone who is useing them

I was in a head shop about a month ago. Guy who owned the place was "smoking" an electric cig. I told him I was interested, and asked if he had any testers. He gave me a couple drags on his instead.

Well, I like the idea of being able to "smoke" indoors. Wherever, whenever. Also the idea of actually not inhaling carcinogens is a pretty good point to them as well. The idea of it saving lots of cigarette money was also a bust to me, as at my peak I was smoking maybe half-pack a day.

The one I tried was just over $100 dollars. It made that nice noise when you drag, and lit up a bit orange at the tip. The drag was strange, as really you just need to drag hard to initiate the device, then gently inhale to continue. Not difficult, just different than a camel.

The taste was... acrid? It sort of irritated my throat like a camel regular never did, or any filtered cigarette for that matter. It had an aftertaste like after a cigarette. Pretty authentic, considering you're inhaling water vapor. It had a full feel to it, much like tobacco smoke, but a bit thinner. Much like hookah smoke, but it wasn't thick and white, hard to blow a smoke ring, etc.

One nice feature of the device is that you can pick a concentration of nicotine release. After one drag on this thing, it was like the first time I picked up a cigarette, I felt wired. I would probably dial it down a bit, only because I would want more than one puff every hour or two...

My overall analysis is that if you smoke often, and are seriously concerned about your respiratory health, go for it. Just make sure you never buy cigarettes again. The last thing you need is something so you can smoke indoors as well. I "quit" a few months ago, and have been smoking perhaps 8 cigarettes a month. Just a bum here and there from friends. Not worth it to me. Then again, I never had cravings, withdrawals, etc. Pretty nifty.

Price isn't too bad online, often $60-100 for the starter packs. They usually say they come with the equivalent of 2 cartons.
I've been told from a 2pack a day smoker that it's not nearly enough, went through withdrawal at night and he had still smoked 1pack that day.

I've been leaning toward the Blu... because it has a blue light and people wont instantly think "is that a-hole smoking inside?"

I tried one of these too. Most of the people I know also smoke regular cigs along with the electronic one.

I didn't like it much, isn't the same. I would only recommend it if you want to quit.

Around here the bars/restaurants go non-smoking in a couple of weeks. Worth looking into.

I have an electric ciagrette. I no longer use it. It irritated my throat. It also did not satisfy my desire to smoke. It gave me nicotine enriched vapor that I could puff that did absolutely nothing for me other than giving the people in the office something to get excited over. I eventually purchased a cigarette filter that I am now in love with. http://www.targard.com/

I have since lost my smokers cough. Recommended if you are looking for something a bit healthier but are not willing to give up smoking.

well, i might give 'em a whirl, i gotta decide where to get it and what level of nicotine to get, or i might just go to a head shop or call and see if they have 'em i would imagine they would be higher in a head shop vs online though, i guess i could at least check it out, i'll let ya'll know what i think about 'em asap,

i imagine the only diff between the cigs/pipes/cigars is the size/shape of the delivery device? or maybe how big a hit of nicotine they hold, or how long they smoke?

ednemo Which filter do you have ? The disposible one or the permanent they lok like something i might want to get .
