I ran across this one and I can't find it in the 2002 catalog. It has the SN 1420 engraved on the back side of the blade. Was this a limited edition that wasn't cataloged?

Plumber,Thats doesn't look like my 100yr. anniversary. It must be some special edition. I've not seen one before. DM

Looking at my notes, I see that I have three 110, 100yr versions, all three different. There's the one in the previous picture, one with the regular looking handles and one with charcoal. I'll dig the other two out tomorrow and take a picture of them all together.

Thank you Dave, I should have thought to check the next years catalog. Did the #1374 have some significance, or did they just quit at that number for some reason?

Dave and Dave,
It is my understanding that Buck would have stopped production of these knives when orders ceased or when they determined they were finished with limited production models for that particular year and needed to begin working on the models for the next year.

wow we gots a lot o daves and darylls .. need more larrys and steves

kinda makes for business logic
if they ant buying why make it..

Thats a good question though because sometimes, when you see an odd quantity, it was chosen for a specific reason. I believe some of the 100 year knives were done in a run of 2002 units, because that was the year of Buck's 100th annv.
