So the story went like this: I picked up a knife from the large bay and it came with sheath, that didn't really fit. The sheath is labelled as you can tell by the pictures below "Buck" on the front and "120-S Custom" on the back. I truely like things that have a history behind them and I'm sure there's more behind this one. If anyone could help me out with the details about this sheath I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

I have the knife, you have the sheath! That sheath is circa 1981 and goes with this limited run knife from 1981. The sheath may also have been used with other Buck 120's (not sure about that). OH

The "CUSTOM" sheaths were optional / accessory sheaths from the 80's. I have seen them included as standard sheaths with stag knives. Here are 2 pages from the 1982 catalog.

Thanks for posting that. I do not remember seeing a loop holster (shadow sheath) from Buck. Those look pretty nice. It could be I just have a poor memory for them since it was 34 years ago. I wish that was what my 120 had come with.

Here is a shot of my two 120's. One with a regular sheath and one with a custom. Picked them up on the bay a while ago.

You guys are truely amazing, thanks a lot for the info on that sheath!

I have the knife, you have the sheath!
I feel pretty bad seeing your knife being so lonely. The sheath is worn quite a bit with some scratches, but has still plenty of life in it I'd say. If you are interested in it, I'd ship it to you free of charge.

Thank you sir for the kind offer - that is a mighty generous thing to do! However, you should know that I have a sheath for my knife - ordered a custom for it some time back, fits well and looks good with the knife. Thank you again though, really fine of you to offer. OH

Hey OH, I gotta admit that sheath looks a lot nicer than mine! So I will start looking for a lone 120 General to make things complete again.

There you go - a Buck 120 will be a great addition to your collection - and you have a sheath so it's an imperative! OH
