SMKW offered a gold script 110 in 09. Does anyone no the number of knives made (I heard 70, but that could be completely wrong). I know they were made at Buck and not outsourced like some of the SMKW LEs. Also it is my understanding that Michael Prater designed and applied the script. Any info would be great. Thanks

I saw the eBay text for that knife claiming 70. It is found on the 2009 Special Projects list as "Silver Script Folding Hunter for Smoky Mountain". The special projects list puts the production for that knife at 1,000. They were still available on the SMKW knife works website until several years ago for $55. I bought a few. There was also what I believe to be a Christmas issue of the knife with acorns and oak leaves engraved on the bolsters. Not saying it isn't so but I've never heard any mention of Praters connection with the knife outside of that eBay ad.

I do not know much history on these other than what was posted above. I have a Proto Type I acquired at the BCCI 25th. It has squared brass bolsters and script inlay with exposed rivets and a CPM 154 blade.

Very unique knife. I've never seen a 110 riveted in that way. I wonder why? Thanks for showing.
