So I just picked up this older Becker Companion. I've had Blackjacks, Camillus, and KA-BAR but I've never seen one that was simply stamped "BK & T Cincinnati Ohio" If you've happen to know anything about this one feel free to reply.

2 company's made Beckers before Camillus. Cincinnati Machine and Tool and Blackjack/Effingham.

Sounds like you have an old Cincinnati.

Are you uploading your pics online before trying to post them? Let me know if you want help figuring them out.

Come back and show us your old Campanion some time Jeb. Email it to MilehighK5 at gmail.com if you want me to post it for you.

You might want to read the rules - thread necromancy is discouraged.
That's a BK32
Sorry about the couple year old post. Why would it say bk-2 if it is a BK32. Really new to ka bar. I kept searching for pictures of bk-2 and all of them where stamped. This doesn't have any stamps at all

It's a BK32 - it says BK2 because the BK32 is an alternate version of the BK2 (clear coated, with that ugly ass billboard on the blade.

As far as whether you should have started a new thread, I repeat - you might want to read the rules. (But, yes, you should have started a new thread)

Welcome to the forum Washed_3981, glad to have you here. Actually, there's nothing in the regular rules that says you can't bump up an old thread: https://www.bladeforums.com/help/site-rules/#gimmick

That rule applies to the exchange, about bumping up threads older than 120 days: https://www.bladeforums.com/help/exchange-rules/

I personally don't see any problem with doing so. If someone starts a new thread, then people jump on them about, "there's already several threads on that, you should use the search function."

Thank you, this is a great forum. I will check out the links you posted, I truly appreciate the information. I am new to forums and knife making.

I stand corrected; though I'm not sure this was the case before the rules were updated. Anyway, if it was more similar to the knife in the OP, I wouldn't have batted an eye regardless of age.

If you like the 32, go for it... all the beef of the 2, without the black coating. I think some have said the billboard fades with use... so beat it as it was intended to be beaten

I don't know why but I couldn't see the pictures from the OP. Thank you again for letting me know about the 32. It was kinda driving me crazy and the more I googled bk2 images the more confused I got.
