Can anyone fill in some gaps about this Trapper?

I won it on ebay, and the only description was "unused"...I thought at first glance the scales were Delrin, but now think the might be wood?

Is that a moose on the scales or maybe an Elk?

I have a few Remington's made by Camillus, but this is my first Camillus brand name I have owned.

Thanks!

Thanks, that pretty much identifies mine in that last series.

I think I did OK looking at the prices of Camillus Trappers at SMKW, I got this one off ebay for $6.99 total shipping and all!

$6.99!!!!! I thought they shot Jesse James! A fine knife for cheap. Good for you.

I found it Sat. evening with only 3 hours left. No bids and a minimum bid of 3.99. I collect Trappers, so on a goof I put the min. bid and left for an evening out, fully expecting to be outbid. Got home about 1am and found that noone else had bid so I won it for 3.99 and 3.00 shipping. If those handles do turn out to be wood, this should be a nice looking knife!

Well the knife came today, and WOW...the handles are rosewood, and the animal emblem is an Elk. The main blade says Camillus, New York, U.S.A. on the front and has a number 8 on the back.

The knife is mint and really is nice looking. The rosewood and brass bolsters make this a nice companion piece to my Alaskan Guide Buck 110 with rosewood scales.
