Info on a Ct. Knife??

Not sure if anyone in this forum will be able to help me... but since the feedback I've gotten on a few of my schrade/N.Y. Co. knives has been incredible, thought I'd cross the border to a Conn. knife. I just came across this one tonight and I've done a google search... came up empty, checked the knife reference book I bought today and struck out again... so here she is...

It's marked "EMPIRE WINSTED CT." on the tang.

"1852 Thompson & Gascoigne started in Winsted, In 1856 it changed hands and renamed to Empire Knife Company. "

With a little more about the co president and his fight against tariffs.

Where can I get my hands on one of those 4th editions... His web site says the 5th edition is crap....
