Info on a Matt Bailey custom

What do you want to know about it? I remember making it.
 
How old is it? Any history on design? what would it cost to make such a knife (ie, is it cheaper to design one and have you make it or to buy this one).
 
I think I sold it to the present owner last fall. If I remember correctly he was going to use it on an elk hunt. It does not look as if it has been used, however. He is incorrect in one of the descriptors, it is black linen micarta handle, not canvas. I could make and sell a similar knife for about $175, but it would take a couple months. It is 1095 (he seemed to question that a bit in the description).
The design was his. He sent me a drawing and a picture of his friends knife and asked me to merge the two. It is 1/4 inch steel, a bit thicker than I would normally use for a knife of that size.
Anything else?

Thanks for the info....I waited a bit too long. Someone pulled the trigger before I did!!
