Hi,
I just picked up one of his mini hand made fixed blade in Warthog Tusk.
Neat little knife and I love it a lot.

Do you think it is advisable to sharpen it with the "X" ceremic shaprpener ?
Will I damage the blade ?
How do I know if it is flat or hollow ground ?

Unlike WHK and CRK, it just came in its own leather sheath (no paperwork of any kind). Not knife newbie-friendly for sure.

Thanks,
KCkc

Mate I have sevaral, he makes a great knife!!. Arno is a South African custom knifemaker.
The steel would be sandvik12c27 stainless( I really like it) he does also use ATS-34 but not very often & they seem to be a touch dearer.
He uses hollow grinds. Really need to see a pic. Sharpening as normal should be no drama

Warthog I think is a great handle material suprisingly grippy. I coat mine with ren wax every so often.
The sheath is more than likely cape buffalo which is his standard.
pics would help.

Hope this helps you.
Cheers
Mitch

Thanks, the blade is a tad toothy for my taste as compared to a smooth ATS34 or ZDP 189 razor sharp.

I shall bring it back to my B&M Knife place for a tune up as needed.
But I just love the feel of the Warthog Tusks. Yes smooth and somehow grippy is a close enough desc of the scales.

Nice craftsmanship for sure = ) at least to me at such an affordable price.
