info on bead blasting

I would like to know how to bead blast blades. What type beads or material is used and what size? What presure works best? Do you need to take the blade all the way to mirror finish or if not how fine.
I have seen some blasted micarta that looks good and would appreciate any info on what is used to blast that as well.

We blast blades everyday prior to coating and use Alumunium
Oxide 220 Grit about 30/40 pounds PSI you can lower the pressure
based on the grind lines your trying to remove. Glass Beads also do a nice job but seem to break down.
