I'm looking for some feedback about a Benchmade (maker) Spec War (Model)
Emerson (designer) - I picked this knife up some time back at a local "hock shop" and I'd really like to know more about it- it's Tanto shape with serrations and straight combo grind... what appear to be black G-10 handles
a definite "wave" /linerlock that's really pretty beefy.... I was not in bad shape but was carried and used with not the best care - but then I didn't pay a lot either - any thoughts would be appreciated! Thanks and Peace!

Revvie!

Not much on chisel grinds myself and if it has a "wave" it has been modified.

But, it should give long service. I see a fair amount of the older liner-lock Benchmades (considering when they were produced and apparent amount of use) still locking up tight (but I suppose if the knives were not still serviceable, I wouldn't get to see them - conundrum there).

if its a used 970 or 975 benchmade its a good knife worth used ~ $75 or so depending on condition.

if its waved its been mod'ed they didnt come that way.

AFAIK benchmark never had anything to do with emerson.
