Hi was wondering if anyone had any info on this little knife...been thinking about getting a small kurkri for my Girl. (she already has a hasiyas)
Since this would just be a around the house knife I think it would be fine but I was wondering if anyone had experience with it? Is it worth purchasing or should I get something in the 12 range? A pic in hand would be great also to get some perspective of its size...thank you all very much..

It depends, if you want to chop with it, then you would be better off with a 12" version. However, for a curved carry knife that excels in cutting, I love it :)

the bilton kukhuri was so named because the so. africans loved them for cutting off chunks of their spicy dried game meat, called biltong. the 'g' got lost somewhere. only here will a 9in. knife be considered tiny :)

It's a nice knife. I just got one for my girl for camping, since she's never had a knife before.

The knife is awesome. The only thing is that the handle is on the small side. The handle is maybe 1" long, if that. It takes about about half of my girlfriend's hand, and she's tiny to begin with. That said, despite the handle being small, it still fits incredibly comfortably because of how the handle curves... it's hard to describe, but the bottom line is the somewhat small handle isn't an issue at all, and I don't forsee a problem given the knife is too small to attempt to fell a tree or something.

My two cents is to make sure you get one with a horn handle.
