Info on Case knife?

I've got a Case knife. Blade says Case XX U.S.A. on one side at the base and 6265 SAB on the other. It was purchased about 25 years ago and has two blades. Any idea what kind of steel the blade is made of? If I'm having difficulty getting this thing sharp on a Sharpmaker, am I simply not doing it right, or is there something about this knife that makes it unusually hard to sharpen? Thanks for any info.

If it just says Case XX USA with no other markings, then it is definitely carbon steel, or what Case calls chrome vanadium. It is not a particularly hard steel, and should sharpen up relatively easily. If the edges are extremely dull to the point of being blunt, then more effort will be required.
