Info on custom knife maker

Anyone know anything about the knifemaker Ruffin Johnson? Are his knives of good quality. I have only seen one of his knives(the El Lobo Solo) and it looks really nice. Any info you could provide would be great. Thanks!!
 
He is a full time maker and sold his first knife in 1972. I have not met him nor have I seen his work, but it seems that he has been making long enough to know what he is doing. Sorry I can not be any more help than this.
