Heya folks...I also posted this in Bernard Levines forum, and thought that it would be wise to also post here where the sword gurus hang out

Hello, I am hoping to get a bit of info on this sword. It has been in the family since the mid to late 1800s I believe. Is anybody familiar with this style? Would it be a standard model that a company would dress up for the individual buyer, or a custom job? Here is a link to the pictures I took of it, hope its able to provide info to somebody that knows...anything you can tell me will be appriciated. http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumIndex?u=110070&a=10090839

Sorry I'm not very enlightened in this area, but I would say it looks like a Fraternal/Masonic sword, maybe something from Knights of Columbus...I don't know. But it really would not surprise me if it was.

Hope someone more knowledgeable in this area can clarify.

Shinryû.

I would concur with Robert. It looks like a standard issue Knights of Columbus sword to me. At any rate I would say it is definately a fraternal sword of some sort.
