Info on long lost recurve

I was reading some reviews on the zero tolerance 0100 again and I want to say I have seen a predecessor in an old issue of tactical knives. I believe it was from the 90s. It was also a custom knife, maybe? The review has stuck in my head this long because it was the first time I had seen or heard of some one sharpening a knife on a jeep window. If anyone out there knows what I'm talking about and has any info that would help. My searches have found nothing.

You might try searching for Blackjack folding Mamba. That's the earliest recurve pocket knife I remember.

This was a fixed blade knife, I want to say with a 5-7 in blade. It might have been made by Uwe Hoffman.
