Hi all!
This is my first thread so please be gental. I am new to the balisong fever. I have had a cheap one for years and have played with it sometimes. I have learned some of the openings for myself, but now I want to get more in depth with it. I have a BM43 on order..hehehehehe, and it should be here in a few days! Anyway back to the subject. I was wondering where I could get info on different techniques for opening and using the bali. I don't really care if they are books or video's or both just want info. Anyting will help. Thanks.

If you are looking for some cool techniques then you should check out clay's web site www.balisongxtreme.com. It has alot of useful information in there. And if you're looking for some kewl books on the subject, then check out amazon.com.

Welcome to the forums, well if you have not found Clay's site yet, you are in for a wonderful treat!:D go to BalisongXtreme and you will find a world of opening and closing techniques, exercises, tricks, and some really cool accessories. If you have had a balisong for a while and are stuck with just a few opening and closing techniques Clay's site will help open you up (both figuratively and metaphorically;) ) to the world of freestyle manipulation. YOU ROCK CLAY!:D

I tried Clay's site the other day and I couldn't get into the beginner or intermediate tricks (just checking to make sure I didn't miss anything ;)), I could get into the Advanced ones but I didn't check the double.

Hope you enjoy the Forums!

Welcome to the forums medicarcher! Free internet sites with a truly in-depth library of ANYTHING are few and far between these days. Balisongxtreme.com is one of those kick-ass sites. Within the list of tricks, there are many different excersizes. Don't overlook them! The learning will go much faster if you keep your fingers flexible and strong.

It's good to have you here medicarcher, have fun flippin'!

I'd definetly use Clay's site. I practically live there. I've also found that the Imada video is pretty good.

If you're interested in a video, I would check out Janich's Mastering the Balisong Knife (Paladin Press). I haven't seen any other bali videos to compare it to, but it was the vid I cut my teeth on and it teaches you quite a few good moves, from beginner to advanced.
