I have an "original buffalo skinner" knife with a white bone handle with a buffalo carved in it. I tried to get a picture on here, but I don't understand how to do it, so I'll just explain it to you. On the blade, besides "Original buffalo skinner", It has PIC solingen germany on the one side, and a picture of what appears to be a pickaxe stuck in a mountain. I would like some more info. on this knife if you have any. I know Solingen made great quality blades, but I would like to know more about its history. I think PIC is "Precise International company"? An importer? Maker? If you can tell a little more about it, like age and where it came from, that would be great. Thanks.

Precise International Corp. of Suffern, NY. A post WWII importer of sporting goods, notably Wenger Swiss Army Knives and Gamo air guns. Their German contract knives were handled by Voos, Linder, and Schlieper.

The knife is no older than 1954 because that's when the company started, but would need a picture to tell you more.
