Info on Spyderco Microstar?

Just wondering if anyone had any updates on the project. Specs, official name, release date, etc.
 
If it was still just in discussion a couple months ago, then I'd expect it to be at least a year away from shipping: an '06 model at earliest.
 
Carlos, sounds like a reasonable time table; gonna be a long wait.

Has anyone heard from Sal that this is goint to be the name? I have not.

It is just on one of the suggestions AFAIK.

you might be right about that... I don't really remember how the thread with Mr Terzuola ended... :)
 
I remember "starmite" and "starlite" as being a couple of the suggested names. Whatever the name, it sounded like Sal and Bob were putting together something sweet.
 
The name has not yet been decided, although "Microstar" does have an nice ring to it.

We have a proto in the works. Should have it at the Blade Show.

Thanks for the update Sal. One point of clarification: wasn't "Microstar" the name used by Bob on his own folder, so the whole point of the naming game was to give the Spyderco counterpart its own name? But if Microstar is available, it is a nice name.
 
Yeah, you're right. Microstar is the original name. Bob T wants a new name for the Spyderco version.
