Age? Carbon? Any/all info appreciated.

No problem, Bokers are difficult to date, they tend to use old tang stamps at will, so you need to look at the whole knife, but Boker USA the shield is used, yours has a R ( trademark ) to the right of the Tree, used after 1975 by Coppers Group, the scales are what Boker calls " Improved Stag Type " which look cool IMO, a type of plastic.

I like it, too. I have a scout with the same. Actually when I bought, they sent the stockman instead of what I wanted, but I liked it so much I took a pass on the initial purchase and kept this one.

Worked out:thumbup:

Nice knife! And I'm impressed the OP had his answer in 17 minutes! The knowledge and spirit of this forum is just outstanding.

Seeing so many Stockman's lately I'm starting to take a liking to them - and I've never had an interest in a folder with more than two blades before so that's saying a lot. :)

I felt the same way, and this one turned me. I have big hands and this knife is 4 inches long, that had a "hand" in my thinking.;)

That is a nice knife. I like it a lot. The plastic is called DuPont Delrin and more or less took over the scene about 1960 and no looking back to the great old bone on production knives. Some of the Delrin is really very pretty. Just depends on the molds and the dye, etc. Even plastic responds to craftsmanship. That would be a great carry knife. I carried a 1970 Boker USA Congress knife daily for 20 years or more and completely wore it out but it was a great knife.

I have a big (4 1/8") Boker Congress with jigged delrin handles! It's a great knife!!! I like the bigger trad patterns.
