Info on this 'hawk? (pics)

Sorry about the cruddy picture. Anyone know anything about the maker of this tomahawk? I bought it off an auction for cheap, but don't know anything about it. Anything you could tell me is appreciated. Below is the maker's mark- looks like an anvil, I believe.

Dear John,
Head looks very similar to those sold by Turtle at national rendezvous during the early 1960's for about $35 ... they were made by various smiths and were usually pretty good forged-head hawks. I have seen the anvil touchmark on some other heads but don't know who uses it.
The style of the hawk is a pretty standard Hudson Bay canoe axe (camp axe) type that has been around for about 300 years.

Thanks for the info, Two Hawks. It certainly isn't on caliber with your stuff, but it'a decent knock-around jobber. Hopefully I'll be able to get one of yours soon and then I'll be mighty happy!
