sounds like a pilot's survival knife

D Juvet,
It indeed sounds like you have one of our Mil-Spec 5" Pilot's Survival Knives. Lets take a look at this....

Does it look like the one on the bottom,...model #5733? Thats the Pilot's Survival. Its 1095 carbon steel, with parkerized finish. THis knife has been standard military issue for pilots since the 50's. We still make it today, for the military, and for civilian sales. Hope this helps.....

Sounds like the pilot survival knife, but nobody mentioned the sawback on the back of the blade. The catalog still shows the sawback and over the years I've always seen them with the sawback.

That's it. Sorry I forgot to mention the saw back in my first discription. The knife I have doesn't have the original sheath. Would you have price and availability? Where can I get one? Thanks everyone for your help.

I don't know the replacement sheath price off the top of my head, but give Wendy or Michelle a call at the factory, 800-344-0456. They will take care of you. Thanks for being a customer!

You mentioned the knife being blade stamped. That would put the production somewhere between 1962 and 1966. Try to find a correct period scabbard as the knife is somewhat collectable.
