It was made after the Schrade Company closed in 2004. I would guess Camillus (now also gone) or Bear (still operating in SE United States). I can't read the tang stamp very well, but I suspect that it is not Chinese, but made under authorization from Taylor, using one of the old U.S. trademarks which he now owns. He owns the Schrade name, but most of his stuff comes from China. Some of the "Schrade" knives made after 2004, contracted to Camillus and Great Eastern are of good quality.

The knife was made in the USA by Bear Cutlery post 2004. The give away is a spring rivet only, the rest of the handle is glued on, a signature of Bear.

This is the trademark that was first selected to be used as a company name by what is now called Canal Street Cutlery in Walden New York. They dropped the name after another "knife company" threatened to sue them into oblivion if they used it, claiming ownership of the name. A novelty search of USPTO TESS shows registration for this name on October 8, 2004. Go figure.

Here are two more of those rapscallions. I don't know where I got the idea that they were Camillus, but I was wrong. The fit and finish of these knives is quite good.

How about this one? It has pivot pin for the blades and half stops. Is this a Camillus?

Yes I believe so!! I have one just like it and the plastic case insert card mentions Camillus made.

Thanks, Rusty; I have another one which is clearly of the same origin. It is a yellow muskrat, with one blade a spey, something Schrade never did, to my knowledge.

The Camillus one is the only type I have seen as well. I don't think Schrade made one either.
