I have this model of a knife and have two questions.

1) The blade has a 97 carved on it. Does anyone know what that means?
2) One of the utilities is something called a reamer. What is that used for. I figure out what all the utilities are for except that one. Looks like it's used to puncture holes in cans but I could be wrong. I am enclosing a link to the details of the knife. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Welcome to the forums,

97 is the year of manufacture (1997).

The reamer/punch was originally designed for making holes in leather, you push it in and turn around until you get a hole of the desired size, not much used for that nowadays but very useful in the past, of course it can also be used for scrapping, marking, making screw starting holes in wood, etc.

Great knife.

Would you happen to know if there is an accessory like a clip I could attach to it to clip onto clothing?

These three are mine, the top one is Victorinox with key ring, the two others are Wenger with bail, these can take a lanyard or be hung from a carabiner, etc.

However, most soldier SAKs (Swiss Army Knives) do not have the bail or ring, so either you keep it in a pocket or in some kind of sheath or pouch.

You may want to hang around and see if our local SAK expert shows up.

You can use a clipped pouch, like the William Henrys, or have the scales drilled and tapped to put on an after-market clip.
