I was given this knife years ago as a gift used it for a few months and forgot about it. Here is a photo next to my A.G. Russel WoodsWalker (great name) for scale.

The knife appeared when cleaning out a box and decided maybe to give it another go for pack duty. But unfortunately I forgot nearly everything about it. Anyone knows the model name and type of steel used. It appears stainless and took a good edge though was work doing so. I searched the forums and didn't see any info on this knife but must admit my search skills aren't the best. I was unable to find the maker's website if he ever had one. It was made in New York and has the number 685 on it.

Thanks for any info.

Nice! :)

I have almost the same knife, numbered 698. The blade on mine is narrower and the handle is a madrone burl. When I bought it, it was called a mini-hunter. I'm pretty sure Kurt was using ATS-34 for these.

I understand he's in business again, but without a website, the best way to contact him would be a search for a current dealer

Kurt's good People. Makes a Great knife. Clean grinds and great fit n finish
I bumped into him not to long ago. He did say he will be having knives soon.

Bump for update.

It has been a few years and the knife did turn out to be good like those who responded said. :) Darn shame I don't see his knives more often.
