Tyrolit SIC stone?? What are the grits that they are made? I read somewhere they sell a 400 grit single grit stone, but I can't seem to find them in the USA.

Razor Edge Products sells a 800 grit SiC. I don't have this stone but the Forum members who have purchased this say it is good quality. DM

Thanks for the feedback fellows. I may give the razors edge stones a try, I was looking for a oilstone finer than an India. I wander in this stone has a soft binder or what?

How much finer? Other criteria?

All diamond plates are oil stones
even the $5 ebay ones from #80-#3000
Same goes for ebay ruby 3000 and beryl/agate/jade 10,000
