When I was in Atlanta, I saw some nice knives made by a gentleman named Childress( I think). When I went back the next day, I couldn't find him.Does anyone know anything about him? Thanks, Bruce
That might have been D.W. Childress. He has a beautiful damascus and mastadon ivory folder (quite the bargain at $375) pictured on page 111 in the Sept. Blade magazine.
Here's one I had Wayne build - his first left handed linerlock.
Fit and finish are excellent. I think his knives are a real bargain. He generally has a dozen or so in stock. We see him regularly at the Columbia, SC gun shows. He doesn't do autos (yet) - but I'm working on him.
