Welcome Coutellerie.

Believe me you are not the only one here who likes european knives. I am a big fan of Laguiole style knives. I find they offer tremendous value.

Don't woory about your english. You did just fine.

Hi, Coutellerie.
My only European knives are a Laguiole (from Laguiole-Elite, a 10cm juniper wood w/stainless steel bolsters), an Opinel #8, and a Fox Cutlery damascus and briarwood linerlock. Given a few more dollars in my pocket, I'd like to pick up some more European knives, particularly from Conaz Coltelleria in Italy. Someday, someday...

Welcome to the forums; you can exchange your foreign currency right over there...

Welcome to the forums, your English seems to be fine to me (who is another non-native English speaker ;) ) I do like the traditional French and Italian blade patterns, although often they are executed with inferior materials and finish. I´d love to see a Laguiole with CPM-420V for example, and a blade that does NOT touch the spring bar in closed position.

Welcome, and believe me your English is much better than my French. I won't even try to offend you with my poor usage of the French language.

I like the Gimel Bargeon knives from France very much. Definitely a fan of many European designs and makers.

Welcome! I love Europeon knives.I came close to buying a Laguiole knife a couple of months ago,I wish I had.I enjoyed the design and quality while I was handling the knife.Price was reasonable.I used to own alot of italian made auto's.Most of my knife collecting stay's within USA made category, but I do have a couple of German made here and there.Nice to have you aboard.

I only have an Opinel, but I love it! It's going camping with me tomorrow. :)
