I did not see an intro thread anywhere so I thought I'd just post up my own.

I have been lurking here for a couple of weeks, so when you thought you felt a presence, that was me.

I have been researching a new EDC knife. Currently carrying a Spyderco delica or endura. Each of which I purchased in the early 90's. They both gave the molded clip, not the metal screw on type. I have a older Kershaw folder that is silver with wood inserts I bought as teen in the late 70's. Most I had ever spent on a knife, but it spoke to me and I had to have it. That and wanting an assist open lead me here. Really like the leek, but feel the tip is to fragile for my needs. So I think the shallot will be my first new Kershsaw in 30+ years. I hope to not wait that long on my next one.

So glad to be here and hope to learn a few things along the way.

Welcome GrJfer, once you start and you catch the fever, you will not be able to stop, we are for the most part Kershawholics here, again, welcome.

Welcome to BF and to the Kershaw/ZT sub-forum. Could you post a picture of your old kershaw? I started a thread awhile back looking for people to post pictures of some of the older Kershaws/Spyderco's/Benchmades. Back when those companies first started. Thanks!

+1 Dave, I think you just coined a new word. "Kershawholic"

My name is Jim, and I admit to having a problem.......and I don't wanna be cured! :D

Will do. Can you post a link to that thread, or pm it to me?
