My friend wanted me to see if anyone knows anything about this knife and the value. It is in great condition and I can't tell if it's been sharpened or not. The screw off butt cap seems to be made out of steel and has a compass in it. There is a little tube in the handle with 2 matches and some fishline and I believe a band aid. I looked on Chris Reeves site and I don't believe he makes these anymore. I was also wondering if this was one of his earlier ones made in South Africa. Thanks for any info.

A knockoff. The grind lines are uneven. Funky, funky logos. The sheath looks like something off of Jim Frost' Cutlery Corner! Hopefully 'he' did'nt pay much for it. Or did 'he'?

This is a Fake......Uneven grinds, logo's, guard grinds are way off, sheath is of poor quality and nothing close to Gfellar. Look on the CRK pic page m my CRK Timeline, or some of my posts and you will see good pics of Genuine CRK One Piece Knives

He told me he had over 200 dollars in it and had traded for it at a flea market. He will get it back this morning.:)

Sorry that is a forgery from China it maddens me but there is nothing we can do.Your buddy got ripped off.

Granted, you have to be familiar with CRKs in the first place, however, if you are you can clearly see this is a fake. Fit and Finish on all CRKs I've owned or have seen were all excellent. As the others have said, grinds are not even, logos don't look right, ect.
