I "found" a knife in a box recently and I am looking for some info as far as production time frame and rough value- I do not intend to keep it. Pics will follow later today but here is what I can describe:
Single edge Bowie blade 6.75" guard to tip
Green paracord wrap handle
brass double guard
green web sheath with clear plastice liner, D ring for leg tie down

Markings on sheath:
Handmade in U.S.A
Ek Commando Knife Co.
Richmond, Virginia

On Blade:
Banner- "KOREA WORLD WAR II VIETNAM"
EK
19 41
COMMANDO

There are crossed knives between the EK and COMMANDO with the 19 and 41 on either side.
Memory makes me think it was purchased early 90's.

Knife is used- shows some staining on paracord on grip and a little on sheath. scratches on blade from the plastic liners. Factory edge is still very sharp. Paracord has a lace nearly burned through- looks like friction burn? in the lanyard part.

Not looking to sell or trade from this post- will post it properly when the time comes.

Thanks,
Bill

Thats the same Ek i used to have its an earlier Ek made in Richmond before blackjack started making them in Ill. Thats a nice knife i'd hold on to it for sure. I think before Richmond they were made in Fl. i think.

Read the history part of this. http://www.ekknife.com/
I own many EK's, they are actually one of the first knives I started collecting as my father gave me an Miami EK from my Great Uncle who had it during the war. I have since focused mostly on the older/comemorative models.
