I have a Kershaw Survival Knife that my brotherinlaw gave my for X-mas about 13 years ago. It has a 6 3/4" spear point plain edge blade, that's bead blasted. The tip is double edged, 1 1/5" from the tip it's a saw blade on top. The handle is finger groved rubber, with Kershaw on one side. The blade is stamped 1005, which I believe to be the type of steel. Is this a good steel? In the handle is a survival kit, that includes, fishing string w/weights & hooks, matches, and flim. The handle bolt or lock doubles as a mirror. When did they syop makeing these, and are they collectable? THANKS! RKBA!
