Information on maker Peter Martin

What can you tell me about the maker Peter Martin? I saw some of his work at the Edgerton show that was high quality and genuinely creative, and the older books (Knives 98) have some very classy pics of his knives. Is he still making? Does he have a web site? Anyone own one of his?

Peter is not making any knives at the present time. He has been active for a good many years, and does some very nice work. He has been takig a break for the summer, and the last I heard from him, I am not sure he is going to ever take any more orders. That is not to say that he won't be making knives though. Since you are in Wisconsin, you should check out Silver Dollar Coin and Jewelery in Sturdevant. Colonel Joe Fox is the proprietor there, and he will in all likelihood be handling any and or all of the knives that Peter makes in the forseeable future.

We (Peter and I) have been friends for many years. He is a part time maker that is very good, and has a real level head about things. I like him. No web site, and probably won't be one. He has a full time job that is just too good to quit (long time at it, good benefits, excellent retirement when it comes).
