Anyone with the history of the Camillus Military Camp Knife would be appreciated. I started collecting this particular knife while in the Army. My oldest in my collection is dated 1964. I know that they still produce this knife and it is standard issue in the following services; Army (Demo Kits), Navy (ship knife), Air Force (survival jackests), Marines (USMC logo). I would be interested in buying any issues that i do not have in my collection. Also if anyone knows the first year this knife was produced.

You should post this on the Camillus forum and ask Will Fennell.

Thanks for the reply FUDO. I have asked the Camillus company for information. Just waiting for a response. Is the person you recommended in BladeForums?

Cajun, yes, go up to the top of the page, click on maker/mfg., scroll down, in alphabetical order you will find Camillus. Hope this helps. ;)

Cajun, I carried a Camillus mititary camp knife for decades. Mine was
issued in 1966. I finally wore it out after many decades of faithful service.

I'm not sure ,but I think one of Levine's books on knives ,collectors stuff,
has a extensive history on this knife. Good luck.

Thanks for the lead. I have three 1966 issues of the knife. If you find one of the issues i need I'd be willing to trade one for one.
