I'm seeking any information anyone may have on this Pardue folder. I'd like to establish when it may have been and whether this was a popular pattern for Pardue. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Mel is still alive, and can be reached on the telephone, AFAIK.

The coffin handled, dagger-grind lockback is a fairly common pattern in his earlier body of work, which is not to be confused with popular. It is mildly popular. I would say it was made during the '80's. If you want my opinion of the value, I would be happy to post it or PM you.

Please feel free to post your opinion of the value. The knife is part of my personal collection, so it's not going to be sold...at least until I find something else that I absolutely have to have.:D

Between $325.00-$400.00 based upon the pictures. That is RETAIL price.

Is the "011" the model number?

I have a Pardue that I think is from the same time period. It is stamped "004"

Not a great picture, but it shows the knife. It is 4 7/8" closed and the blade stock is .175"
