I don't know if you will find much more on your sword smith. Doesn't seem to be much published, at least not in english. I looked in several books with little luck. Hawleys lists two smiths who signed this way one c.1420, the other c. 1504, but no other info. Fujishiro's doesn't list them at all. Sesko's Koto-Meikan doesn't list them. Nihonto Koza gives only a mention of the name Kageyoshi and a bit linage, relating that he/they was of the Omiya school, the founder being Kunimori from Yamashiro Omiya. It states "Kunimori" is a low ranked name, which may account for the lack of information on the school in general.

The sugata doesn't really match the style of the period, looks later. But, stranger things have happened, who knows ???

Thank you for the information. Do you know of anyone in the Cincinnati, OH area, or even Knoxville, TN., that would be able to give a value on the sword? For insurance purposes only.
