Hello any information on the strider model wp concealable series blade wouls be much appreciated!!! I would like to know anything about it is it a good blade?? Is it really fairly concealable?? And is it worth the price tag?

generally, though the strider fixed blades are great knives, and some are cool designs, i just dont think they warrant the price tag, for the $$ imho bud nealy or al polkawski make better concealment edc fixed blades, they are thinner and liter and much more suitable for edc. now i love strider folders, the SnG is one of my fav's, but the fixed blades not so much.

nothing at all wrong with 'em though, barring being a bit heavy and thick, if that doesnt bother ya and ya dont mind the price, go for it, all striders seem to hold value pretty well, if ya dont like it, sell it, just dont beat it up and ya should have no probs getting all or most of your $$ back on it.

The WP's started out being made from cut-off material, hence the "waste product" designation. They became popular, and ultimately were developed into a full-fletched line.

As far as value goes, it's a hunk of S30V with either G10 or cord wrap. I think all of Strider's heat treating is still done by Bos, who seems to get good results.

You have to decide for yourself if the product is "worth the price tag". You could certainly spend less for something that would work equally well... or perhaps spend the same amount for something that would work better. Depends on your criteria.

This blade will take and hold a good edge, but the cutting geometry isn't going to be very conducive to slicing tasks. For something this size, and with these general characteristics, I'd probably look at tool steel or INFI... just really depends on what you want, and why.

I have a few older Striders about this size... they’re cool knives, but not what I would call super practical for utility purposes.

Strider heat treat is no longer done by BOS as he moved to oregon with Buck, however they still use the BOS process and in the same plant just its no longer over seen by BOS.
