Information regarding 2014 Ivory ban (possession and sales)--questions

Hi,

Can you guys inform me regarding the current status of the ivory ban and its effect on knifemakers and collectors regarding possession and interstate sales? I need to write a college paper on a moderately controversial topic, or in this case the ivory ban. Any links or information will be greatly appreciated.

I believe Critter posted a thread regarding this subject, with links to what, exactly all the laws entail. If you use the search function you should be able to find it quickly. It's a few months old as he posted it right after it happened, he's on top of all that stuff.

Thanks. I looked at Critter's thread and found some information but not entirely what I was looking for. Can anyone link or direct me to the proposed 2014 ivory ban? The fish and wildlife gov website only contains information pertained to the current ivory restrictions, but not the proposed restricting regarding the complete ban of domestic ivory sales.

Search for Mark Knapp here on BF. You might even send him PM and I'm sure he will provide info. He keeps up to date on the issues and regularly posts for the rest of us who want to know. He posted something recently about it.
