Information Request on the La Griffe

I've considered a neck knife purchase. Mainly because this is a design that I don't have. However, I've reached the point with knives where I don't buy anything I can't get at least a little use out of.

That being said, I'm interested in everyone's impressions and what they use their La Griffe for.

I carry the Lagriffe primarily as an sd knife and find it to be an excellent package for that application but I do also use it for light utility chores. Its sharp and pointy and comfortable both to use and carry. I usually carry it around my neck but also have carried it using a makeshift static cord set up and simply stuck in a pocket. The knife is great, the sheath is also very good. Minamilist with excellent retention and fast deployment. I have yet to find any other production neck knife that has tempted me away from the la griffe.

It's a deceptively simple, effective, vicious design. The concept is simple, the execution is well thought out. It works better than one would initially think as a utility piece. The blade lends itself well to most tasks. One caviat: If you want it as a SD piece, I'd limit utility use- the blade takes a little practice to learn to sharpen.

i bought the la griffe about a year ago. i was also concerned that it had limited useability and truthfully, i have not used the knife to cut anything except paper (once!). but it has been on me almost everyday since i've bought it and its one of the few knives that i would not consider selling or trading. it is very easy to conceal.

I use my la Griffe for those every day tasks like opening boxes, letters cutting tape etc. and it comes with me when im camping or out with the airsoft team. its actuly one of my most used blades.
For wearing the La Griffe find its best to use a bit of the chain it comes with and loop it through one of your belt hoops, this means you can tuck it into your trousers with enough of the handle showing to deploy the blade easily, (I much prefer this to a neck orientated deploy) you dont even notice its there till you need it, to coin a well used phrase !!!
