I just picked one of these up at a local gun & knife show and theres not much I don't like about it. The handle is very comfortable and the blade seems very tough. I haven't gotten around to cutting anything with it yet but that will prob be done this weekend.
To me about the only thing I can say negitive is I feel it is just a touch blade heavy to qualify as a really good fighting bowie. Who else out there has one of these? How did it work for you/ Did anyone send it out to be reprofiled like some of the Trailmasters I hear about every so often in articles? Thanks in advance for the information.

I have only second-hand information. A friend had one and said the steel wasn't as hard as some competitors so edge longevity was only fair. However, it was pretty tough and easy to resharpen.

The Gerber Bowie is a.k.a. "The Ultimate". I really like the grip and the huge brass guard.

Nice knife :)
