Infos on a 507 needed

I'm looking for some info on a knife from a friend.

He asked several knife dealers but no one knew any details about it.

If any one of you might know some details, for example when it was made or the value of it he would be a happy Buck owner .

The X after 507 says that this knife was made in 1990.

I am having a tough time finding this knife in my information. I have seen them before but can't locate the details. I am pretty sure it is not a 507 though and also pretty sure it was not made in 1990. It is actually a 525 with a special overlay.
I will keep looking, maybe somebody else has one with a box and can divulge the catalogue number?
