Inherited collection - What is my custom, limited edition, vintage Buck 110 worth?

I have inherited my father's collection of knives. I posted my first knife for sale online and now I'm paranoid that it will sell for too little.

It is a Buck 110 in original box with paperwork and a like new sheath. It has never been used or sharpened, and is one out of only 100 numbered, custom inscribed Chief AJ (World Record holder for 40,060 shots without a miss) collectors knives.

Thanks SO much!

First off welcome to the Buck forum... You can not ask questions about how
much knives are worth...Not in less you are a gold member or a paying member...
You can not put a live auction from the bay on here...
You should read the rules... ... Good Luck...
The Knife will sell for what some one is willing to pay... ;)

Edit your post and take off your link to your auction... and how much it's worth...
or a mod will, and you will get a strike against you... Are mod is cool He will be
here soon, 300Bucks... :eek::eek::eek:

Like ITE said your not allowed to post links to auction sites. Nor are you allowed to discuss prices/worth unless you're a gold member or above and no one is going to give you the answers you're looking for. Since you posted the same thread twice you'll need to edit them both or the moderator will completely remove them. Might I suggest that you simply post pictures of your father's Buck Knives for all of us to see and enjoy? Of course you could always upgrade your membership to gold and try and sell them in the "Buck Knives For Sale" thread after you familiarize yourself with the rules. Welcome to the Buck Forum

My dad has two buck knives that he will give me one day. Will I use them? Probably not. Will I sell them? Never.

You could try the edit post feature and simply cut out the forbidden words/link. We all love and need your questions, images, concerns, desires and input. Really we do.

Just edit your post, only you can do that... It's on the bottom of your post...

Clink on...

Looks better... Now you can share some Pictures of your Buck knives
with all of us... You can post them on the Sunday Pictures Show if you like
or post them now or when you wish too... But we would love to see what
you have in your collection... We all love pictures... ITE ... :)

If you are new to the forums I wouldn't worry about making a mistake about the rules as I see the join date. We were all new once and I'm sure made a mistake or two. If so welcome to the forum. I wouldn't sell the knives quite yet, hold on to them as you won't strike gold selling knives. Maybe the gift of his knives were meant to be more than the monetary value but the gift of a new hobby.

I can't begin to describe the gravity of my situation, (but I'll try). I have approximately 200 knives. I have no siblings, they are all mine. I plan to keep around 20 (some of monetary value and some for sentimental reasons). If I had 2 I'd keep two.

I have every pay stub since 1994. I have every birthday card anyone ever mailed to him. I have a whistle collection, scissor collection, dice collection, duck decoy collection, straight razor collection, 4 years worth of Blade magazines, about 12 sharpening stones (I'm keeping 2), a pipe collection, a marble collection, a gun collection, an ammo collection, hammers, saws, shot glasses, cleavers, about 100 7/8ths full Bic lighters, 24 Sharpie markers, 8 Plum Bobs(sp?), etc. I have proudly displayed the dice, straight razors, and marble collections in my home.

I have to start purging and this is my start. Please bear with me, I'm trying to make the best decisions possible for me financially and to honor my dad.

Oh yeah that's a lot of stuff! Best of luck, it's hard sometimes to get rid of things especially if they were cherished by loved ones.

thanks! I have held off for 3 1/2 years in hopes that I would become enlightened on what do. I literally have a HOUSE full of stuff. He went to the hospital and didn't come home.

fthf, do what you have two... I would... It looks and sounds like your over
whelmed with a lot of collectibles and some time you just can't keep everything...
Do what is best for you... Not what others say or think... Good Luck... :)

Well, You have had good advice. It appears any policing on my part is a repeat of my friends above. I take it for granted that all of your knives are not Buck. I know I will be stoned in the street as sinner, but it sounds like you need to learn how to use a certain online auction site. You will look and see how important good photos are. As several have told you, do not talk sale, pricing or location of a sale here. You can show a photo and ask for comments about your inherited Buck knife and leave it at that. Everyone here would like l to see them. I know you can go to that particular site and they have areas where you can be trained on how to use the site. With all the stuff listed by you, you will be busy for a spell.

If you have any more old Bucks we will be glad to see them and make comments on their creations and related knife family members.
If you feel creative and artistic you can use some of your great collectables as background items to a knife in photos.

If you have additional Buck forum questions you may contact me by private message. If you are interested in the details of the BladeForums rules go to the Buck Sale area above and then click on one of the top instruction threads that mentions rules.

Almost everyone gets some slack on your first post, come back if you like to talk Buck Knives.
