Hi...I am not a knife guy, at least not like my late father!

I was referred to the blade forums by some friends that like my pops, ARE knife guys. Dad, collected for many years and even took some classes and made a few knives. The bulk of his collection is eclectic and I am now the owner of this collection. After giving family members first dibs we managed to move some of these around and we all have our mementos.

The rest of these though... I will be looking to sell most of his collection. Problem is, I am not a knife guy. While I am familiar with most of the customs in this collection, I am struggling with many of these pieces.

I have the bulk of the collection photographed and on Google Photos and Imgur. There are a lot of pics!

I am really looking for some guidance on how to appraise and the best way to sell these. I made sure to buy a gold membership here so hopefully I have all my ducks in line.

Thanks in advance for your time and attention!

Can't help with specific prices myself but a common piece of advise in these threads is, if someone PM's you an offer for something, get a second opinion in case they're trying to misrepresent the value.

Great tip...thank you!

There's a couple in there that I would think would be pretty sought after. That doesn't necessarily mean they will command a high dollar amount. But they should be worth a decent value.

I'm not the right guy to put a dollar amount on them. But best of luck to you.

Bruce Voyles is a knife auctioneer if you want to go that route. He also writes for Knife magazine..

I don’t think you need a professional- Google - I found the ones I looked up on the web or at least the brand prices. It will take time and work. Maybe you will become a knife guy in the process :)
