#2 -- Wonderful 18th Century by Kumar, 18 inches and 2 pounds of unbreakable khukuri. Great hatchmarked blade with "almost convex" Kumar edge (he's learning from Big Brother). Fine karda and chakma and usual stellar scabbard by village sarki. Take it home today for $95. UBBB.

Uncle Bill...I don't mean to be rude, but neither your pictures nor your description did this knife justice.

The 18th Century arrived in the famous triangular box today, but for a change, it was my son who was more anxious to open it (I was busy cooking up some beans and rice for a get-together tomorrow night). We opened the box and anxiously drew the knife for the first time. Neither of us was prepared for the sheer beauty of this hand forged and decorated blade.

The beautiful curve of the spine, which very slightly carries through the handle is completely offset and balanced by the crisp angular serrations of the blade, which arrived with an almost convex, sharp edge. The grip, which is beautifully streaked with the familiar white and grey, is without a doubt the absolute finest I have yet had the pleasure to wrap my hand around. It is large by most standards, but fits my big mitt like he was looking at my hand directly and the swells flow as if grown encased in my hand.

The scabbard is fully up to the usual HI expectations and the karda and chakma meet every potential. The chakma in fact is beatifully done, with a graceful styling curve all it's own and checkered on the end in contrast to the karda. I again intend to have this chakma reground to make a second karda...it'll make a beautiful utility knife on it's own.

Uncle, you really did me a favor on posting this one at a lucky time for me...THANK YOU!!! :D
