when i first opened the box i thought wow that is not the blue i expected. i was expecting more of a true blue, but it looked like more of a teal. but once i took a better look in better lighting in actually looked like the blue i was expecting. more or less. the bi-directional pattern is great, it just grips your skin and i feel that it is leaps and bounds above the volcano grip. also the jimping on the top of the handle is pretty much useless.

i really like on spydercos how the logo sits right under the clip so that you pocket doesn't get ripped up. the clip is great and rides relatively deep in the pocket. it rides deeper in a tip down configuration. it came tip up and that is what i like so that is how it is going to stay.

when i first tried to flick it open it felt extremely stiff. so i loosened it up and i couldn't get it to where i could flick it open readily and have zero blade play. i took it apart and oiled it all up (it wasnt all that difficult for me for some reason. the sog aegis with AO is harder to assemble and disassemble for me). i have trying to work it in and that seams to help. the blade came razor sharp previously the sharpest factory edge that i have ever gotten was the centofante III, but this takes the cake. just handling it for all of a couple hour i already have three cuts. albeit they are pretty pathetic. also the blade is centered almost perfectly. one thing that worries me about the knife is the very thin and delicate tip. the only issue i have with the blade is that the deployment hole is fairly sharp.

from what i can tell this is going to be a great edc knife that will last as long as i don't abuse it.

I have one with green scales and it cuts like a pocket lightsaber. Action is very smooth
