No time for hard use yet, but I cut a couple small limbs in the yard and was able to get a feel for the knife. The ergos of the handle and size of the blade are just spot on for an all around knife(for me). The cutting edge is exactly 4.5" and the handle is 4.75". The tang appears to be 5/32" and the blade is slightly tapered as is comes out of the handle to about 1/8" thick with a height of 1 3/8". I wanted to post a couple of pics for you guys to admire while you wait for the next Hunter run. I really think this knife is going to be a hit for Andy and anybody who is lucky enough to add one to their collection. It will be my hiking/camping/buming knife of choice.. At least until I can pick up another new blade. :D I fully expect the upcoming run to be full of Hunters.

Congrats on scoring that one. That handle combo looks great. Andy's Hunter is an excellent all around knife. My prototype also has a tapered tang:D I'm hoping that will be something that Andy will incorporate into more of his blades as it lightens the knife significantly, but adds considerably to the aesthetics of an already gorgeous package.

Man, those are sweet pics! Thanks!!! I will be doing some more tapered tangs. But it does add a lot of time to the process. I also just got a box of super pretty stabalized crotch woods. I can't wait for you guys to see them.

There's a joke in there somewhere;)

That's a fine looking hunter. I know I haven't been able to put my Woodman down since I got it. Actually, it's strapped onto my hip as we speak. My wife asked,
"You're going to wear that to work?"
"Yes."
"Why?"
"Because I can:D"
"<sigh>"

:p
