I posted this first in the CRK subforum but don't seem to be getting any replies so I thought I would try here maybe getting more views ... I have the opportunity to buy an Inkosi for a good price is why I hope to get some informed opinions soon ... thanks in advance for any thoughts.

I'm not trying to start a "which is better" type thread. I own some Sebenza 21s and recently bought a 25 ... I have never held a CRK Inkosi.

But I'm interested to know from those that have used Inkosis as well as 21s ... and those that know more than myself about the different materialsused in the pivots and such ...

I'm wondering if the newer Inkosi knives or the 21s were more durable one over the other? ... or if there would be any real noticable difference in strength or durabilty based on the differences in the two models?

Thanks for any input ... JJ

I don’t know about “durability” per se, but I’m of the minority that prefers the Inkosi (small) over the 21 (small). It fits my hand better, feels more ‘stout’ (maybe that translates to durability?), and is a lot of blade for its size. I was afraid it would be too small, but I think it’s perfect for me. I was also afraid the blade would be too thick for its size (IMO), but again, perfect for me.

I’ve also owned several 21’s, and while I enjoy them, they just didn’t “click” for me like the small Inkosi did. In my hand, it feels a little more like a show piece than a workhorse (even though I KNOW it could handle literally anything I could throw at it), and just didn’t have that “stout” feeling I prefer. That being said, it is an absolutely incredible knife, and I wouldn’t hesitate to own one.

I carry a large/small combo, along with a third the majority of the time, so having a stout feeling knife isn’t a life or death with me. It’s just something I prefer the feel of. It’s hard for me to find a knife that feels “sturdy” in my hand, while not being too big or having a blade that is too thick. The Inkosi ticks that box for me personally.

I'd say that your 25 would be on par with the inkosi mate.

For some reason my 25 & inkosi feel much more robust than the 21. However, I'm sure in reality there is much less difference.

I had both 25 and Inko, honestly I did not felt the difference between Inko and 25, and I kept the 25.

I have a 21 Insigo and it does feels "flimsier” than my 25 tho.

I was curious as to how the ceramic ball vs the 21s pivot bushing system held up for strength and durability.

I know the Inkosi has a slightly thicker blade ... and my 25 feels slightly beefier than my 21s ... but havn't used the 25 enough to know how the ceramic ball systems hold up compared to the pivot bushings on the 21s.
